Evoltz will sign a contract to acquire Eletrobras' 49.5% stake in Manaus

Evoltz Participações S/A became a shareholder in MANAUS TRANSMISSORA DE ENERGIA S.A. in early 2018, with a share interest of 50.5%. Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A (Eletrobras) was already a shareholder, with a share interest of 49.5%.

MANAUS TRANSMISSORA DE ENERGIA S.A. holds the rights to the concession of a 558 km long electric power transmission line that operates at 500 kV, in an alternating current transmission line, double circuit, originating at the Oriximiná substation, located in the State of Pará, passing through the Silves substation and ending at the Lechuga substation, the latter two located in the State of Amazonas. The transmission line runs through 12 municipalities in 2 states (Pará and Amazonas).

Evoltz is the controlling shareholder of 7 companies that operate concessions in a total of 3,561 km of electric power transmission lines, passing through 10 states of the federation, distributed in 7 operating companies with consolidated AAR (allowed annual revenue) of approximately R$ 500 million.

In compliance with its strategic planning for operational and corporate consolidation, Evoltz is pleased to inform that, within the scope of the Competitive Disposal Procedure No. 01/2019 established by Eletrobras on July 25,2019, the Eletrobras Board of Directors approved on April 17,2020 the binding offer made by Evoltz to acquire Eletrobras' interest. The purchase and sale contract will be signed afterwards. After due approval by ANEEL and CADE, Evoltz will become a full MTE (Manaus Electricity Transmission Company) controlling shareholder.
